Pay heed to your heart and not to your wit.
So I got my hair cut on Thursday, and as of yet, not a single person has noticed. And I got a good two-three inches cut off too. Not even my mom noticed, and she made my haircut appointment and gave me money to pay for it. I don't know. It just bummed me out. I'm also starting to get oddly melancholy, and I can't explain it. Who even knows.

Bada Bing Bada Buddha
So I won tickets to go see Mike DeStefano at the Lakeshore Theater on Friday. Alyssa and I ended up going, and we got there at 5 for an 8 o'clock show. So we went to Argo and drank delicious tea while people watching and then went to grad some eats at a Thai place across the street. I got the Pad Woon Sen, and it was not good. It was terribly bland and kind of greasy. After dinner we walked down the block to the theater and got our seats. There were three comedians on before Mike, and they were all pretty funny. After an intermission Mike came on, and it was so much fun! He was really irreverent and vulgar, and it was awesome. After the show he was selling a little book he had of various one-liners and sayings (not unlike Christopher Gutierrez' "Guide to Living Deliberate") and he would sign them and take pictures with anyone who asked. So I buy the book and he asks me my name so he could sign my book. I quickly stuck the book in my bag without looking for it so that we could take a quick picture with him.
So we walk to the car and I drive Alyssa home and then go home myself. Once I got home I take the book out of my purse and read what he wrote:
I may or may not have peed a little after seeing this.

This is stupid.
Bones got pushed back until next week. I really love that show and I've missed it a lot, and I've been having a really tough time lately for no reason, and I set Bones up as the thing I had to look forward to to get me through the week. I mean I still have plans for this weekend, but Thursday just seems more tangible, and Friday is relief enough in itself. And I just needed something to look forward to this week.

The Dead and Done Blues.
I want so much for this year to be over. I'm just ready to be go to college, and am just so sick of high school. I cannot wait to get out. Pretty much everything I'm doing in school is utterly asinine, and there's almost no point to my being there. Ugh. There's only 80 some days of school left, so it'll be over soon enough.

Holiday Recap
So, I haven't been doing a very good job of keeping up with this lately, but it's my blog, and I'll post if I want to. /lame. Anyways, Christmas started off as a disaster and ended up good. So if I don't attend school for an extended period of time, I usually will have no clue what the date is. Thus December 23rd snuck up on me like the Night Man does to the Day Man, only it certainly did not pay a troll toll. As a result of this, I had no food prepared for my Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day dinners so I try and go to the store, but was thwarted due to a nervous mother and large quantities of snow. So I attempted to make this vegan fettuccine alfredo, but had to wing most of the recipe because I didn't have some of the ingredients. Disaster. I ended up eating some instant mashed potatoes and SmartBBQ, and it was pretty delicious.
Later on during the break, I went to the ZooLights at Lincoln Park Zoo with my family, and it was amazing. I didn't really care about the lights, I just wanted to see the animals, although there was this cool ice sculpture of an aardvark.
So that was Christmas, and now onto New Years. For New Years I went to Geena's and much fun was had. Watched Newsies, played charades, hung out with awesome friends, and good times were plentiful. It was a really good way to ring in the New Year. Other than that, my life has been pretty regular, and I just want to be done with school. Today. I'll just have to get through this last semester. I've had senioritis since pretty much my first day of high school.
